- Bring clean water to the point just before it starts to boil while you prepare your herbs or tea bag
- Pour the hot water into your mug over the tea bag or your infuser. If you're using a self-contained infuser pot or mug, pour directly into that.
- Glance at the clock so that you can brew your herbs for the right amount of time.
- Take time to connect with the aroma, colour, and process while it happens- This can help your body feel at ease with taking the tea.
- Remove the tea bag or infuser, or otherwise separate the herbs from the water once the time is up.
- Wait for the water to be safe and comforting temperature, and then let the healing begin!
- While there isn't a general rule that applies to all herbs as far as brewing times, most herbs will fall within a time frame you can fine tune with experience. Leaves and flowers: 6-7 minutes
